Alnico Blocks

Alnico Block Magnets can also be called bar magnets. They are often used in educational facilities from primary school through to post-graduate work. A wide range of devices relies on the magnetic fields generated by Alnico Bar Magnets. These include power tools, fridges and washing machines.

Alnico Magnets are sensitive to demagnetization and have high residual induction compared to Neodymium Blocks and Ferrite magnets. Alnico Magnets are the weakest of permanent magnets, however, have corrosion resistance and temperature stability. Alnico Magnets have a mechanical strength greater than both Ceramic Magnets and Rare Earth Magnets. This is due to Alnico magnets’ magnetic properties being both hard and brittle. All our Alnico Block Magnets are C5 grade.
