Ferrite Block Magnet - 29mm x 21mm x 5mm

Magnetic Product Description:

This ferrite block magnet is 29mm long, 21mm wide and 5mm in height. With a magnetic flux reading of 1268 Gauss and a pull force of  400 grams, it is identified by the AMF magnet part number 12080.

Uses for our ferrite block magnets:

Smaller ferrite block magnets are commonly used in DC motors, as sensors and in various hand crafts. Any machining of ferrite blocks must be done with a diamond wheel, ideally before magnetisation, as they are hard and brittle.

Reduced air flow into heater

I bought these magnets for the same reason as the above review and am very happy with them. Our heater now burns overnight without any problems....the magnets work very well and don't move around when opening and closing the damper. Saved a lot of messing around welding pieces over the holes and can be adjusted at any time if needed. My order was despatched quickly....very happy with the service from AMF. Thank you

Does the job

To reduce the air flow into a slow combustion heater and thereby control the intensity of the burn I had to find something to cover the holes in the steel air slide. I was able to choose this magnet (correct dimensions, strength of magnetism, heat tolerance & price) from a wide range magnets in there AMF online store.

Does the job perfectly. My overnight burn has gone from 7.5 hours to 11 hours.
