Neodymium Block Magnet - 40mm x 15mm x 8mm | N52

Magnetic Product Description:

This rectangular block magnet has a length of 40mm, a width of 15mm and a height of 8mm. It has a pull force of 19.98 kgs and a magnetic flux of 2767 with a Nickel coating. It is identified by AMF Part Number 22007.

Uses for our powerful rare earth block magnets:

This Neodymium Block magnet is essentially a mid-range strength magnet compared to the other products in the AMF range. It has a considerable pull force of 19.98kg, which is impressive for its small size of 40mm x 15mm x 8mm. This strength is due to its high magnetic grade of N52, which makes it stronger than other Rare Earth magnets of the same size in a lower grade. These types of Neo block magnets are frequently used in industrial applications and often used as virtual ‘torque limiters’. This application is essentially using the magnets to prevent damage or injury within machinery by having the magnet give way when overloaded or when stress limits are reached. They can also be used in other applications requiring a moderate pull force, such as water purification, holding purposes, as well as miscellaneous engineering and industrial uses.

water conditioning

I'm making a small anti scale magnetic water conditioner. I'm hoping to see increased oxygen content and increased alkalinity and a change in the structural hexagonal. I also should see the removal of calcium, magnesium and iron scale.

Bought 5 magnets with different strangths the same time

Good quality and reliable product. Arrived as 5 stuck magnets, unable to separate them and got my hand hurt stuck between the magnets while separating them and failed. I might need an elephant for this otherwise please wrap with separate plastic foams to every single magnet and place in separate small paper boxes to help the buyer easy to separate and ready to use them straight away. Thanks you.

AMF Magnetics reply: Thank you for your review! Have a look at the Magnet Handling and Separating Guide that would have been included with your order, it will help you best separate the magnets. Let us know if you haven't received one and we can email you a copy.

NB: Ranges are indicative for product category, please check individual products for specic values within that range.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
