Female Thread Neodymium Pot Magnet - Diameter 32mm x 18mm

Magnetic Product Description:

This rare earth female threaded pot magnet has a diameter of 32mm, a total height of 18mm and a magnet housing thickness of 8mm. It has a 6mm female thread with an external boss of 10mm. This female threaded magnet has a pull force of 34kg and a weight of 47 grams. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number AMFYPD32.

Uses for our rare earth female thread pot magnets:

Pot magnets have enhanced holding power, relative to standard magnets that is derived from the steel capping which deflects more of the magnetic field to the base, combined with the power of a Neodymium magnet. These Neodymium Pot magnets have a Female Thread casing that can use a bolt attachment to allow any material to become magnetised. Depending on the application, threaded bar or a corresponding male threaded Pot magnet may also be appropriate to use. Versatility can also be improved with the addition of a matching Hook or Eyelet attachment that screws onto the capped surface and makes suspending items from magnetic or ferrous surfaces simple. Pot magnets are both sturdy and powerful which makes them suitable for heavy-duty holding requirements in construction projects or industrial use.

Versatile solution to many problems

We use them for many applications in major mechanical shuts from simple cable tidies (Keeping extension leads up when combined with a M6 U Bolt 80mm Nb) to holding up lights, to clamping fire blankets to form fire boundaries for hotwork inside a vessel.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
