Neodymium Ring Magnet Product Description:

Similar to Disc Magnets in shape, this strong magnetic ring is distinguished by its countersunk hole. This product has an outside diameter of 12.5mm, an inside diameter of 3mm (to 9mm) and a countersunk hole through the north face. It is 6mm thick, providing a compact shape for small areas. This product is super strong for its size with a pull strength of 3.9kg. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 23012.

Uses for our Strong Neodymium Magnetic Rings:

Popular with kitchen and bathroom designers/builders, magnets provide easy construction in a concealed manner. Rare Earth Neodymium Ring Magnets are often used as a hidden fixing method for kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, as well as in bench tops. These permanent magnets can create soft door closures in a compact and discreet way. Ring Magnets provide a sophisticated alternative to the four-inch nail. Their magnetic strength is ideal for holding, fixing and releasing of different materials. These materials include stone, timber, ceramics, plastics and fabrics. These ring magnets are also regularly used as fixing methods in school science projects and productions. As well as in advertising and display companies for the purpose of presenting products, services and signage.

Support Aussie

These magnets are great. I use them all over my woodwork shop to hold steel rules nearby all my benches and machines. They're great as cabinet door "latches". Hold my screws in one place. Keep knives and blades held up against the beer fridge as well as calipers. Spill a few nails on the floor? No worries, pick them up easily.

The perfect solution

We needed a reliable and ongoing supply of ring magnets to use as magnetic door latches as part of our Australian designed and manufactured UviPortable UVC disinfection cabinets (www.uvcleantech.com). These have been perfect. High quality, strong, and backed by reliable ordering and delivery process.

An excellent product

In the application I use these magnets they work perfectly. They’re used as a mounting point in place of a press stud and used with the disc magnets to secure a mesh screen in an overhead position 👍

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
