Uses for our small rare earth ring magnets:

Commercial builders focus their energy on buildings which house businesses. Commercial buildings differ from apartment blocks and the residential sector whose dwellings serve as people’s homes, not their workplaces.

These gold plated neodymium 5mmx2mmx5mm ring magnets make first impressions last on potential customers and clients. Surprisingly cost effective these pretty little cylinder ring magnets are an eye pleasing fixing method for a variety of applications throughout these places of business.

Though small, but with a pull force of 900grams, they contain plenty of well-defined muscle for tasks like securing point of sale displays at the front desk. Able to project their holding power through, not into, all kinds of materials like fabric, glass, corflute, plastics and felt, these ring magnets are a stylish and versatile method for pinning and holding.

In conjunction with these ring magnets, magnetised display walls, or other metallic surfaces, or with the addition of self-adhesive magnetic strips for nonmagnetic surfaces, magnetism is a perfect fastening method for changing, adding and subtracting posters and sporting memorabilia necessary in a commercial environment where stock and trading conditions vary as a matter of course.

With clothing, ribbons and valuables, like trophies, magnets hold on contact, unlike pins, staples and clips which pierce the fabric and forever impair the fabric or document.

For the display of products and services, magnetism offers an uncluttered method of display. Releasing at a known pull force, magnets offer potential purchases a tactile engagement and simple re-engagement, enhancing an impulse purchase. Embedded in timber, stone, ceramics and plastic these gold plated ring magnets offer a stylish, cost effective and sophisticated connective tissue without peer. You only get one chance to make a first impression, make it last with gold plated 5mmx2mmx5mm cylinder style neodymium ring magnets.

These small ring magnets are popular in commercial construction and in the electrical and electronics manufacturing sectors. Packaging industries making boxes, folders and document sleeves for workplace applications use these gold plated ring magnets as stylish closures and connective tissue.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
