This permanent Block magnet contains super strong N52 Grade Neodymium that generates maximum magnetic power and should be handled with care so serious personal injury can be avoided.
Neodymium magnetic material, a product developed over more recent decades, is much more powerful than the conventional Ceramic materials of the past. The silver-style nickel coating gives them a more appropriate modern look while also creating a protective barrier between the valuable rare earth material inside and damaging corrosive atmospheres. Large and powerful rectangular Neodymium Block magnets have practical uses in many industrial processes and can enhance the design of everyday commercial products. Unlike circular magnets, the straight edges and right-angled corners of Block shaped magnets fit neatly inside plastic brackets or specially fabricated alloy angles. This type of fitment makes the Block magnet more portable and, in many cases, more practical to use. These features of Neodymium Block magnets can also be applied just as easily at home, whether adding an innovative magnetic feature to a hobby or solving a problematic home maintenance issue.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
