Magnets Australia

We're here to help you find the perfect kind of Magnet you need!

Why AMF Magnets? Established in 1980, AMF Magnets is Australia’s leading supplier of Magnets and Magnetic products. We carry the largest range of Magnets in Australia, which extends to over 500 different sizes and grades of Neodymium, Samarium Cobalt, Alnico and Ferrite Magnets.

Our Magnets for Sale

We offer a huge range of Magnets in different shapes, sizes, dimensions, grades and materials. Our Magnets are suitable for a variety of industrial, commercial and office applications.

Whether you need a flexible or permanent magnet, a large or small magnet, AMF Magnets Australia can supply you with the highest quality product from a great magnet supplier company.

Permanent Magnets are strong and stable. They produce their own magnetic field and retain their magnetic properties for a very long time. The most extensively used Permanent Magnets are Rare Earth, Ferrite and Alnico.

Flexible Magnets are constructed from Strontium or Barium ferrite powder within a polymer matrix. They can be easily cut with a guillotine, scissors or a Stanley knife. The most commonly used Flexible Magnets are Magnetic Sheets, Tape, Strips, Labels and Rolls.

Our Magnets come in a variety of shapes suitable for many different applications. We supply Block, Cylinder, Disc, Ring and Pot Magnets.

Rare Earth Ferrite Alnico Samarium Flexible

rare earth magnets

  • Produced by the powder metallurgical method
  • Chemical composition of Nd2Fe14B
  • Very brittle and hard
  • Least corrosion resistance of all commercial magnets
  • High resistance to magnetic demagnetisation
  • Excellent cost to performance ratio
  • Reasonable temperature stability
  • Not suitable for high temperature applications

ferrite magnets

  • Produced by the powder metallurgical method
  • Chemical composition of Ba/Sr O.6 Fe2O3
  • Relatively brittle and hard
  • Good resistance to demagnetisation
  • Excellent corrosion resistance
  • Raw material is readily available and low in cost
  • Good temperature stability
  • Most widely used permanent magnets

Alnico Magnets

  • Produced by the casting or powder metallurgical techniques
  • An allow composed of matrix of Al-Ni-Fe-Co
  • Very hard and brittle
  • Poor resistance to demagnetisation
  • Produce good flux density at a reasonable cost
  • Excellent stability over a wide temperature range

Samarium Cobalt

  • An alloy composed of SmCo5/Sm2Co17, produced by the powder metallurgical method
  • Extremely hard and brittle
  • High demagnetisation resistance
  • Limited raw material supply result in high cost
  • Outstanding thermal stability
  • Excellent anti-corrosion properties

Flexible Magnets

  • Made by consolidating Strontium or Barium ferrite powder with polymer matrix
  • Form in profiles, strips & sheets by extrusion / calendering method
  • Product can be stamped, slit, punched and laminated
  • Good demagnetization resistance & reasonable resistance to chemical agents
  • Material is readily available & low in cost.
