Magnet Safety Warning

Magnets can pose a serious swallowing hazard to children. If multiple magnets are swallowed or inhaled, they may attract to each other inside the body, causing severe internal injuries, infection, or death.

Seek immediate medical attention if magnet ingestion or inhalation is suspected, as urgent surgery may be required.

In accordance with Australian Government and ACCC safety guidelines, children’s toys containing magnets must display appropriate warning labels. Please note: we do not manufacture or sell magnetic toys.

AMF Magnetics accepts no liability for injury, damage, or loss caused by the misuse, improper handling, or unintended use of magnetic products.

Please read the following safety information before handling magnets.

Magnets are often much stronger than they appear and should always be handled with care. This is particularly important when working with powerful Rare Earth Neodymium Magnets. Please follow these safety guidelines to help prevent injury, damage, or accidental demagnetisation.

Wear appropriate safety equipment when handling larger magnets, including protective gloves and safety eyewear. Powerful magnets can attract suddenly to other magnets or nearby metal objects, creating a risk of pinching, crushing, or other serious injuries.

Keep magnets away from electronic devices and magnetic storage media. Strong magnetic fields can permanently damage credit cards, hard drives, televisions, watches, data storage devices, and other sensitive electronic equipment.

Avoid allowing magnets to snap together or collide with metal objects. The impact may cause magnets to chip, crack, shatter, or create sharp fragments.

Protect Neodymium Magnets from excessive heat. Temperatures above 80°C may reduce or permanently damage their magnetic strength unless otherwise specified.

Exercise caution when storing different magnet materials together. Certain magnet types, such as Neodymium and Ferrite magnets, may affect each other's magnetic properties if stored or used incorrectly.

Individuals with pacemakers or other implanted medical devices should avoid handling magnets and should consult their healthcare professional before being exposed to strong magnetic fields.

Keep magnets out of reach of children. Small magnets can present a serious swallowing hazard. If multiple magnets are swallowed, they may attract to each other inside the body and cause severe internal injuries requiring urgent medical treatment.

AMF Magnetics accepts no responsibility for injury, loss, or damage resulting from the misuse, improper handling, or inappropriate application of magnetic products. Always use magnets responsibly and only for their intended purpose.
