Uses for our Magnetic Adhesive Tape:
Magnafix with 3M White Foam Adhesive is the ideal product for easily and securely fitting household acrylic window glazing. The strong 12.5mm x 1.5mm magnetic tapes are white-coloured and will complement your white or neutral-coloured window frames or other home décor. With a 32m roll that is easy to cut with scissors, you can cut a length to match any window size. You can either pair them with regular Part B magnetic brown tape on the opposing window frame or choose our White coloured Steel tape for the magnetic tape to bond with. Experience the convenience of Magnafix window insulating systems today!
Magnafix directions for use on Metal surfaces:
For this application, you can use either A or B Magnafix tape, this application is for use where one surface is metal that has magnetic properties.
-
Clean the surface where you want to attach the Magnafix tape with an alcohol wipe before you apply the tape.
-
Cut the Magnafix tape to the required length, peel off the adhesive cover, and apply to the non-metal surface.
-
Press the Magnafix tape firmly to the surface and make sure the tape sticks firmly and is ready to use.
Magnafix magnetic tape on two non-magnetic surfaces:
You will need to use both A and B Magnafix tape, this application is for use where both surfaces are non-magnetic, including plastic, wood, aluminium and paper. This magnetic tape is ideal for fixing screens to window or door frames, or for displays, banners and general signage.
-
Clean surface with an alcohol spray or wipe.
-
Cut the required length of Magnafix tape A (un-grooved), peel off the adhesive cover and press firmly onto the non-metallic surface to form a strong bond. Start with the most fixed part of the project, such as a window frame or fixed attachment surface.
-
Cut the same length of Magnafix tape B (grooved) and apply the magnetic side of the tape to the opposite pole of the magnetic (part A) tape you have already applied on the frame/attachment surface. You will now have two magnetic surfaces attached to each other.
-
Now peel off the adhesive backing on the second piece of tape so that the adhesive side is facing towards you.
-
Apply the other surface (Acrylic/Perspex sheet) to the tape and press firmly.
-
Allow the bond to set for 5-10 minutes.
-
You should now have two non-magnetic surfaces attached to each other by the magnetic tape.
