This Rubber Coated Neodymium Pot Magnet features a 66mm diameter magnetic base, an 8mm thickness, and a 15mm high M8 male threaded stud, making it an ideal magnetic mounting solution for applications requiring a strong, removable, and non-damaging attachment point. With an impressive pull force of 18kg, this heavy-duty magnetic base combines the strength of rare earth Neodymium magnets with a protective rubber coating to deliver reliable performance on steel and ferrous metal surfaces.
Identified by AMF Magnetics Part Number RCND66M, this magnetic mounting magnet is designed for both commercial and industrial applications where equipment, accessories, or fixtures need to be attached securely without drilling holes or damaging painted surfaces.
The RCND66M contains six high-strength Neodymium disc magnets arranged within a steel pot assembly. The steel backing concentrates and directs the magnetic field toward the contact surface, maximising holding strength while reducing magnetic loss. This design provides exceptional holding power for its size while maintaining a compact profile.
The integrated M8 male threaded stud allows the magnet to be attached directly to brackets, fixtures, equipment, signage, lighting systems, cameras, sensors, displays, and countless other accessories using a standard nut and washer.
A durable rubber coating surrounds the magnetic base, providing several important advantages:
These versatile magnetic mounting magnets are commonly used wherever equipment needs to be attached to steel surfaces quickly and without permanent fixings.
Popular applications include:
Because the magnet attaches without drilling, welding, or adhesives, it offers a convenient alternative to permanent fasteners. Equipment can be installed, repositioned, removed, or replaced in seconds while preserving the integrity of the mounting surface.
Traditional mounting methods often require penetrating screws, rivets, or adhesives that can damage paintwork and create future corrosion issues. The RCND66M Rubber Coated Neodymium Pot Magnet provides a powerful yet non-invasive solution, allowing accessories and equipment to be mounted securely to steel surfaces while helping to protect valuable finishes.
Whether used on vehicles, machinery, metal panels, workshop equipment, retail displays, or industrial infrastructure, this 66mm Rubber Coated Neodymium Pot Magnet with M8 Male Thread delivers a strong, reusable, and professional magnetic mounting solution.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.
Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.
Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More
