Neodymium Block Magnet - 20mm x 10mm x 4mm | Countersunk 4mm-8mm hole

Neodymium Block Magnet Description:

These Neodymium Countersunk Magnets have a strong pull force and a countersunk hole in the centre, making them one of the most versatile magnets in our stock. Made from high-quality Rare Earth Neodymium magnetic material for maximum strength, this Neodymium magnet is in a block shape with a countersunk 4-8mm hole in the centre. It has a 20mm length, 10mm height and a 4mm thickness, as well as a pull force of 3.5kg.

Uses for our Countersunk Rare Earth Bar Magnets:

This Rare Earth Block Magnet is a great all-purpose magnetic tool for joining and holding due to its super-strong magnetic pull and the convenient countersunk hole in the centre of the block. Strong Neodymium Bar Magnets are easy to fasten or mount onto a surface or wall with the addition of a screw through the centre hole. This Neodymium Rare Earth Magnet is axially magnetised and can easily attach to a metal object or surface. The powerful and small magnet has an impressive pull force relative to its small size.

Worked well

I used the block as one half of a magnetic latch for a tool box. The other half comprised three short lengths of fencing wire inserted end-on into the mating surface.

works well , but they are brittle .

Used these magnets to hold extra bits in my drill driver box .

They work great , but I broke the first one by tightening the screw with the impact driver , don't do this , tightened with a screwdriver no problem .

NB: Ranges are indicative for product category, please check individual products for specic values within that range.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
