This Rare Earth cylinder has a diameter of 5mm and a height of 6mm. It has a Copper (Cu) coating, an N45 Grade, a magnetic flux reading of 6323 Gauss, and a pull force of 1.038 kilograms. This product is identified by AMF Magnetics part number 21050.5C.

The Neodymium Cylinders are a great versatile product that is suited to many applications due to their small size but strong magnetic pull. These small Neodymium Cylinders specifically are 5mm in diameter and 6mm long, with a surprising pull force of just over 1 kilogram, considering their small size. The magnet is made of N45 Grade Neodymium which gives it even stronger magnetic energy and deeper field penetration. This makes small Rare Earth cylinders perfect for applications where accuracy and precision is required, coupled with an elegant and sleek appearance. These small discs would often be used in display applications, arts and crafts, as well as within small motors where they play a role as a sensor. They are also known to provide accuracy and efficiency when used within electronic devices such as microphones and audio speakers.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.
Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
