Neodymium Disc Magnet - 10mm x 2mm

Neodymium Rare Earth Magnetic Disc Product Description:

AMF’s Rare Earth Disc Magnets are extremely strong due to the use of high quality, powerful rare earth magnetic material. This Rare Earth Disc has a diameter of 10mm and a height of 2mm. It has a strong magnetic flux reading of 2340 Gauss and a pull force of 1kg. It has a nickel coating for corrosion resistance and extended use.

Uses for our Strong Neodymium Disc Magnets:

This powerful neodymium disc magnet can be used across a wide range of applications. Commonly used for industrial purposes like metal separation, water conditioning, building generators, magnetic stirrers and metal detectors. Also ideal for at-home applications such as magnetic therapy, magic tricks, brochure closures and other craft magnetic uses.
This permanent magnet is ideal for applications where height access is limited. Recess into thin materials where deeper routering may compromise the structural strength of the underlying material. This magnet can be used as a singular magnet or in conjunction with other disc magnets stacked together.
Thanks to super-strong Neodymium magnets, this disc has a powerful holding power for its petite size. School teachers love these small magnets, they can be securely glued to the back of objects, awards or laminated cards. Items can be moved around with ease, perfect for object and image matching games and much more.

Love this product.

I am a face painter and have just put together a working kit. Everything is magneted to a steel lined case.it works fantastically and I can easily attach and reattach paints as I use them.

Garment fastener for kids clothes

Application: safety fasteners for child's cloak, sewn into seams.

Result: Excellent. Quadruple layers of thick, heavy velvet secured effortlessly yet still able to be separated by 3 year old child or if tugged (e.g. by playful dog).

Comment: Infinitely preferable to traditional buttons, eliminated choking hazard if clothing caught or tripped on.

Additional: smaller discs used to fasten pockets and stow hood.

Premium product, very happy customer.

NB: Ranges are indicative for product category, please check individual products for specic values within that range.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
