Neodymium Disc Magnet - 10mm x 3mm | North Marked

Magnetic Product Description:

Compact yet powerful, this neodymium disc magnet delivers impressive performance in a diminutive 10mm diameter by 3mm height form factor. With a magnetic flux density of 3396 Gauss and a pull force of 1.96 kg, it's engineered for applications requiring reliable holding strength in confined spaces. The north pole is clearly marked for precise orientation during assembly.

Designated as AMF part number 20051, this rare earth magnet combines exceptional strength-to-size ratio with the consistency you expect from premium neodymium specifications.

Uses for our Rare Earth disc magnets:

Metal separation, picking up nails & screws, water conditioning, building generators, magnetic stirrers, metal detectors, tool knife holders, holding, stud finders, magnetic therapy, magic tricks, brochure closures.

This slimline Rare Earth disc has a mark identifying the North magnetic pole on its surface. This mark can be particularly handy for projects where two magnets are configured in a north/south arrangement to attract and hold together. It is also a helpful little magnet to keep on hand to determine the poles of other unmarked magnets. Simply hold it close to another magnet and the marked North pole will attract to the South pole of the second magnet. Likewise it will repel if held up to the North pole of the second magnet in question.

N42 is one of the highest magnetic grades, making these discs superior in quality to that sold by many of our competitors in the same dimensions. This magnet is also commonly used in electric DC motors, switches and sensor devices.

Making life easier

This made my magnet use much easier to identify sides when dropping into my 3d prints. No more accidental misalignment here!

NB: Ranges are indicative for product category, please check individual products for specic values within that range.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
