These strong rare earth disc magnets are made from N45 grade Neodymium material. Small magnets such as these may be tiny in size however they are super strong relative to the less powerful magnetic materials such as Ferrite or Samarium cobalt magnets. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description.
