This neodymium magnetic disc has a diameter of 3mm and a height of 2mm. It has a magnetic flux reading of 5477 Gauss and a pull force of 231 grams. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number D-D3H2-N45.
Manufactured with powerful Neodymium magnetic material, these discs are made of the strongest type of permanent magnets available. These are indeed mini magnets and the small and thin dimensions of these Neodymium disc magnets mean they are perfect for applications where space is limited. Small round magnets are very sought after as craft magnets as they are lightweight and surprisingly powerful. Traditionally Ferrite magnets have been used for small lightweight applications such as fridge magnets, however, Ferrite products are far weaker than Neodymium magnets and require more magnetic material to achieve a similar hold.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More
