This neodymium magnetic disc has a diameter of 8mm and a height of 3mm. It has a magnetic flux reading of 4349 Gauss and a pull force of 1.67 kilos. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number D-D8H3-N50.
Thin, disc-shaped magnets make it easy to join two surfaces magnetically. A disc magnet is easily glued into position with an epoxy adhesive to make timber, glass, alloy and plastic materials compatible with steel surfaces. This has handy applications in both commercial and domestic kitchens for hanging utensils in a convenient and hygienic way. The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description.
