This neodymium magnetic disc has a diameter of 9mm and a height of 2.5mm. It has a magnetic flux reading of 2938 Gauss and a pull force of 1.052 kilos. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number D-D9H2.5-N35.
This small and flat Rare Earth disc magnet is the perfect choice for craftspeople looking to display their arts and crafts on a vertical surface. Gravity, surface texture and the thickness of the underlying metal all have an impact on the magnet’s ability to perform. Tested to hold 1 kg of weight, this however is diminished to around a third when holding on a vertical surface. It is always important to test and we recommend customers buy a sample or different sizes of these strong permanent magnets to ensure you achieve the designered hold.
Magnetic power can often be a confusing area to navigate with certainty, particularly when people are just looking for a quick and simple way of displaying their creations. We’ve put together some helpful hints on what to consider when choosing the right magnet for your job, check them out on our FAQ page. These magnets are made from super strong rare earth magnetic material, the strongest type of permanent magnet available.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More
