Magnetic Product Description:
This neodymium magnetic ring has a diameter of 12mm and a height of 2mm. It has a magnetic flux reading of 1865 Gauss and a pull force of 1.115 kilos. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number R-OD12H2ID5-N35.
Uses for our rare earth ring magnets:
The precise level of hold and release force that is needed to operate at a point of magnetic attachment can be obtained with variations in the magnetic grade and also the distance between the North and South poles (thickness or height dimension). For axially magnetised magnets, which is the orientation of most magnets, thicker magnets have more magnetic material between the poles which in turn generates more magnetic holding power. Also, the higher the magnetic grade that is applied to the magnet during production, the more magnetic strength it emits. N52 Grade is the most powerful grade and has the strongest holding capacity. Small ring magnets can be easily attached to ferrous or non-ferrous shafts or rods with a similar inside diameter to make them magnetic or compatible with steel. Small ring magnets can be used to magnetically store or hold small metal tools and implements used by hobbyists, fabricators sculptors or artists.
