Neodymium Pot Magnet with Swivel Hook | 20mm diameter | Nickel Coating

Neodymium Pot Magnet with Swivel Hook Description:

This Rare Earth Magnetic Swivel Hook consists of a super-strong Neodymium magnet housed within a mild steel nickel coated holding pot. The swivel hook is attached to this pot magnet specifically for heavy-duty holding purposes. The Rare Earth Magnet has a holding force of 9kg and a weight of 21 grams. It has a diameter of 20mm, a total length of 46mm and a magnet housing thickness of 7.5mm. This neodymium pot magnet has a total height of 22mm.

Uses for our Strong Magnetic Hooks:

This Neodymium Holding Pot magnet is supplied with a swivel hook and makes an excellent temporary or removable hanging point. The magnet can attach to any ferrous metal surface and is designed to hold heavy weights on horizontal or vertical surfaces.

For retailers, builders, repairmen and maintenance workers, these heavy-duty magnetic hooks are invaluable for advertising, displaying products and organising equipment. They attach instantly and can be repeatedly relocated to a different height or a more convenient position. Also handy in he kitchen to organise and hold all your essential utensils with a touch of style.

Rare Earth Pot Magnetic Hooks are also handy for those who enjoy recreational activities such as camping, fishing, hiking or caravanning. Use Hook magnets to suspend utensils or tools off the ground and keep spaces safer, more organised and more hygienic.

Pull Force:

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More

They are ok

They slide down a bit, not as strong as I had hoped, or as they are weighted. But still handy.

AMF Magnetics

Hi Sally,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your recent purchase,

We're sorry to hear the swivel magnets are not performing as well as you expected. The magnet's pull force can be affected by several factors, including the surface material and thickness it's being used on. These magnets perform best when used on thick steel surfaces that are completely flat and at least 10mm thick. Feel free to share more information about the surface you're applying your magnet so we can best diagnose why they're not meeting your expectations.

Kind regards,
AMF Magnetics

Magnetic potential

When I was a boy a crazy old man told me that spacecraft (Roswell) were powered by magnets. Hence, I have pondered perpetual motion for over 50 years. But sadly doesn't seem possible.

Cheers, Ben

NB: Ranges are indicative for product category, please check individual products for specic values within that range.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
