Sheeting

There are many products in the AMF magnetic sheeting range. You can buy a single flexible magnetic sheet in a range of colours or you may choose to buy a large magnetic sheet roll for a more economical option or for large production runs. Bulk magnetic sheets are often purchased by commercial businesses to make magnetised advertising products and merchandise for promotions. Magnetic whiteboard sheets are a popular magnetic product with school teachers and office managers. AMF magnetic sheets are flexible, easy to cut and shape and are very affordable. As most of our magnetic sheets are made from ferrite magnetic material, the holding ability is relatively low, however, this is usually of little concern for the usual requirements and applications of customers. These customer applications mostly involve office work, education, advertising or hobbies and crafts. If you do need a super strong hold in a flexible magnetic sheet, you should consider the AMF rare earth A5 sheets which contain powerful Neodymium in a rubber medium.

Sheeting

Of all the practical uses and income-generating applications that AMF customers find for flexible magnetic sheet products, printing magnetic signage for commercial customers is probably the most common. Coloured, white and even black magnetic sheets can make a great backdrop for attention-grabbing signs or posters. Flexible magnetic signage has the advantage of being magnetically attractive to ferrous surfaces. Removable magnetic car signs for commercial vehicles are a good example of how this flexible type of magnetic sheet product can be used in a practical way to promote any type of business.
AMF has magnetic sheeting in sizes to suit any purpose. The sheeting can be purchased in widths varying between 315mm and 1200mm but the most common width is 620mm.
Most magnetic sheets are available by the metre and many can be purchased in more economical rolls between 10 and 300 metres long. Buy magnetic sheeting from the AMF online store to receive free standard shipping Australia wide when you spend over $30!

How to use our magnetic sheets

One of the most important factors to consider when choosing magnetic sheeting for your type of application is the thickness measurement. AMF has sheeting from 0.4mm to 1.6mm thick but most are 0.8mm. Thin 0.4mm sheet has very little holding ability but is the most flexible sheeting product and is ideal for art, fridge magnet advertising, crafts and hobbies. Thicker sheets naturally contain more magnetic material and are therefore stronger in terms of bonding strength. As you would expect, the magnetic sheets become slightly less flexible as the thickness measurement increases. In some applications, using a larger, wider piece of magnetic sheeting can help improve the adhesive bond to a ferrous surface such as a car body or a metal fencing panel.

Adhesive Magnetic Sheets.

Use the AMF adhesive backed sheeting products to attach your acrylic, timber or metal sign to this flexible magnetic sheet and make your sign compatible with steel surfaces. Your sign, graphic design or artwork can now attach to metal fences, doors, machinery, vehicles or any other type of ferrous surface. Just peel off the paper backing to expose the adhesive on the back of the magnetic sheet and you are ready to go. Magnetic bond doesn't leave marks or damage the paint on metal surfaces. The magnetic sign you create can be removed from a metal surface in an instant, at the end of the day or when your event is over. The flexible adhesive-backed magnetic sheet is easy to DIY cut so it fits the back of your work perfectly.

FAQ

Can you print on magnetic sheets?

Most flexible magnetic sheets can be printed on with the correct equipment. However, high gloss PVC coated sheets are best for writing on with a whiteboard marker and are not always suitable for office printers. The AMF office magnet category has a selection of printable magnetic sheets in A4 and other sizes. AMF Magnetic Sheets sold with an adhesive backing allow a normal office paper sign to attach to the magnetic sheet and become magnetic. This is a very simple way to make magnetic advertising or information signage.
How to cut magnetic sheets?
A flexible magnetic sheet is easy to cut with a box cutter knife, Stanley knife, scalpel or scissors. A metal ruler or straight edge piece of steel will help you make a precision cut. For larger orders of custom made magnetic sheet products an office guillotine can also be used to cut the sheet. Our FAQ and Knowledge Base section has a lot of helpful information about the ways people use magnetic sheets. You can also contact the staff at our office for any advice you need.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More
