Magnetic Sweepers or Magnetic Brooms offer a heavy duty magnetic solution for the easy disposal of ferrous metal debris from large areas. AMF Magnetics stock super strong Rolling Sweepers and Forklift Magnetic Sweepers in a range of different sizes and strengths.

Our strong magnetic sweepers have a retractable handle for self-cleaning that allows the collected debris to be easily disposed of. Rolling sweepers come with large rubberised wheels and a comfort grip for easy handling. Forklift sweepers have handles that enable them to hang from a forklift.

What are magnetic sweepers used for? 
Magnetic sweepers are used to collect ferrous metal debris — nails, screws, wire and metal shavings—from floors, driveways, construction sites and other work areas. These powerful magnets help prevent injuries and equipment damage, particularly from punctured tyres or accidental contact with sharp objects. Magnetic sweepers make workplaces safer, cleaner and more productive by reducing the risk of injury and equipment damage.  

Are there different types of magnetic sweepers? 
Yes. Common types include push-style sweepers which are ideal for warehouses, workshops and garages. Tow-behind sweepers are extremely useful and attach to vehicles like forklifts or ATVs for large outdoor areas. Handheld sweepers are compact and lightweight for small spaces or spot-cleaning. Each type of magnetic sweeper varies in width, magnetic strength and its type of debris release system. 

How do magnetic sweepers release collected debris?

What materials will a magnetic sweeper pick up?

They will not attract non-magnetic materials like aluminium, copper, brass, or stainless steel, unless it is a magnetic grade.
