Thickness/Height 21mm - 30mm

This category draws together all the magnets from our catalogue with a thickness or height measurement of between 21mm and 30mm. There are almost 60 items in this category and they span right across our range, from office magnets through to industrial magnets. This cross section of magnets features a sample of just about every type of magnet we stock.
AMF magnets have been operating since the 1980s and we are proud to be Australia’s largest magnet supplier. We specialise in Neodymium magnets however we have a huge range of heavy duty magnets as well as small craft magnets.

Pin magnets

Featured in this category is the full range of colourful pin magnets. The shape of these handy little magnets has become almost as recognisable as a “magnet” as the classic horseshoe magnet shape. Our pin magnets harness the strength of Neodymium magnets to provide a robust magnetic hold. Each magnet is able to hold up a number of pages on a vertical surface like a fridge or whiteboard. Pin magnets are just one of the many office, school and home magnets we have in our range.

Magnetic tool and knife holders

There are several tool holders and magnetic knife holders included in this size category. Although they may seem like a strange inclusion, it is simply because they are around 25mm thick. Magnetic tool holders and magnetic knife holders are largely similar however they have some design differences. Knife holders have been developed with aesthetics in mind as well as their ability to be cleaned effectively. Hygiene is critical to any kitchen be it residential or commercial.

Tool holders on the other hand have been designed to be more robust as they are likely to encounter a bit more of a rough handling. Both types of magnetic holders feature a long magnetic surface which is achieved with a series of magnets placed end to end. The magnetic tool holders and magnetic knife holders are both simple and easy to install with screws onto a wall or rack.

Neodymium magnets

Most of the magnets in this range are Neodymium magnets. These make up the majority of our full range as they have in large part replaced Ferrite magnets in the market. This is due to their superior magnetic strength, which is many times that of a Ferrite magnet.

Neodymium magnets can be found in many sorts of modern day technologies including medical devices. MRI scanners for example, are able to produce imagery without exposing the body to harmful radiation.
Neodymium magnets are also a core component in many processing systems including in waste and recycling plants. Rare Earth magnets are used to remove ferrous particles within the processing chain.
Electronic goods play host to Neodymium magnets in function and in mechanical operation. Televisions leverage the power of Neodymium magnet to enhance the image quality on the screen. They work to redirect electrons towards the screen to achieve greater visual clarity.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More
