Neodymium Block Magnet - 50mm x 25mm x 10mm | N52

Magnetic Product Description:

This rectangular block magnet has a length of 50mm, a width of 25mm and a height of 10mm. It has a pull force of 35.45 kgs against 5 mm mild steel with a Nickel coating. It is identified by AMF Part Number 22005B.

Uses for our powerful rare earth block magnets:

These super strong Neodymium block magnets are most frequently used in industrial environments. This is due to their impressive pull force considering their relatively small size. This rare earth block in particular is 50mm x 25mm x 20mm but has a whopping pull force of 35.45kg! Their high grade of N52 is why they are able to be so magnetically strong while being so small in size. They are known to be used as virtual ‘torque limiters’ or an offload safely device, because they bond and release to each other instinctively by nature. Within this application they would be considered to be a fail safe mechanism which would intervene when the machinery reached a certain weight or pull, the magnet would release, ensuring safety and preventing damage. This Rare Earth block is an all-purpose rectangular magnet that is suitable to most applications where a reasonable amount of force is required, including water purification, suspension, and general engineering uses.

seriously impressed

arrived within 1+1/2 business days, very securely packed along with the helpful handling guide - not bad for free delivery!

As the other review said, this is incredibly useful on digging tools - didn't take long for it to get "furry".

It also makes field-sharpening with a file a breeze (should you ever wish to shave with your shovel..). With the magnet on the other side of the blade, it keeps the file at constant firm pressure, so all I have to do is focus on the angle.

And at the end of the day, it's easy to store the tool neatly and ready for use, on any iron /steel stud.

Compact and tough

Ideal for gold detecting. These rare earth magnets take the hard work out of the equation by just pressing the magnet into the loosely dug area. It picks up all the iron junk. I have mine mounted to my prospecting pick. It's that great I've ordered more for mates.

NB: Ranges are indicative for product category, please check individual products for specic values within that range.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
