Product Uses

Cable ties are popular for a huge range for applications around the home, workplace or worksite. Combined with magnets you have the perfect holding solution imaginable. These magnetic cable ties are the perfect marriage of user friendly cable ties and super strong Neodymium magnets. The magnets are encased in a rubber casing which boasts two brackets for the cable tie to be threaded through. Never before has there been a product that makes it so easy to attach objects to a metal surface without the need for messy glue or screws. No need to charge up the drill with these convenient magnetic cable tie mounts.

Online purchases over $30 are eligible for AMF’s generous free standard shipping Australia wide offer.

Magnetic cable tie mounts are a relatively new product in the AMF range. The strong Neodymium magnetic power makes this product strong and reliable. There are several sizes available to suit your needs. This particular magnetic cable tie has an impressive 18kg holding capacity. This magnet is capable of securing significantly hefty items in place. If your item is in fact heavier than this, you may wish to use several magnetic cable ties. This is a particularly attractive solution for securing long or bulky objects. Alternatively you could take a look at a stronger magnet in this range such as the 42kg RCND88H.

One of the most popular uses for magnetic cable tie mounts are used to secure electrical cords. This product enables you to secure any cord or cable up and out of harm's way. Power cords are a major tripping hazard, not to mention the risk of cords on wet floors. You can ensure your work space is safe and obstruction free by securing your cables to walls, ceilings or racks with these magnetic cable ties.

Nurses and other hospital staff have welcomed the magnetic cable tie mounts to secure cables under hospital beds. This saves them precious time and effort when patients are moved to new wards or into surgery. The fantastic thing about securing items with cable ties is there is no need to purchase a one-size-fits-most product. They can be made to fit your exact requirements.

There has never been an easier way to put up lights and decorations for parties, festivals or holiday celebrations. Simply lay your lights out on the floor, zip tie onto your light cords and magnetically hang them wherever you please.

These rubber coated magnets are not only quick and easy to adhere, they are also a breeze to remove. The rubber coating protects the underlying surface from damage so there is no concern about scratching or marking painted metal surfaces. The magnet can be moved or removed without leaving a trace.

Magnets are a renter's dream. There are not many non-invasive options to hang or secure items. Renters know all too well the limitations or sticky patches and Velcro tabs. These magnetic cable tie holders provide a risk free means of securing items without damaging the objects they are secured to. It takes one minute to place these items where you wish and just a second to remove them without leaving any sign they were ever in place. There is no need to waste time, stress and money to fill, patch or paint the surface to restore it after removal.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
