Neodymium Block Magnet - 5mm x 5mm x 4mm N50

Magnetic Product Description:

This Rare Earth block magnet has a length of 5mm, a width of 5mm and a thickness of 4mm. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number B-W5H4L5-N50.

Uses for our rare earth block magnets:

Neodymium magnets are by far the most popular and it's no surprise why when you consider the superior strength to size ratio they provide. Since its development during the 1980s, Neodymium has largely replaced more traditional types of magnets that required more magnetic material to produce the equivalent magnetic properties. Just shy of a cube in shape, this small rare earth block is a handy dimension for those trying to create a magnetic connection within a confined space. Often referred to as silver magnets, Neodymium magnets normally have a Nickel coating that gives them a chrome-like surface. Craftspeople working with handicrafts such as woodworking love these tiny little square magnets as they are perfect for embedding as secret closing and joining mechanisms.

Return customer here. As always, cheap as chips and faultless delivery.

These magnets were set into a defunct chopping board to hold knives in place.

The slide-out board lives in a cavity under the sink and hasn't been used for decades. I routed the edge to accommodate knife handles but they kept sliding off. Ferrite magnets didn't cut it.

Enter Earth Magnets ๐Ÿ˜

Araldite works a treat, each block is spaced approx 20mm apart, flush with the surface.

Paring, butchers and chef's knives, along with the meat cleaver and kitchen scissors; everything is secured as soon as they're placed in the drawer. No more rattling around, no damage, no accidentally sliced digits.

Earth Magnets on a board. Every kitchen should have them.
