Neodymium Cylinder Magnet - 6mm x 12mm | N45

Magnetic Product Description:

This popular rare earth cylinder has a diameter of 6mm and a height of 12mm. It is an N45 grade rare earth magnet. It has a magnetic flux reading of 6643 Gauss and a pull force of 1.64kg. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number C-D6H12-N45-Ni.

Uses for our rare earth cylinder magnets:

Small magnets that are cylindrical in shape are suited to placement inside round recesses, particulars drill holes in materials like plastic or wood. The powerful magnetic field can then act as a registration locator, an attachment point or a closure mechanism. It will attract ferrous metal or a magnet with the opposite pole exposed. The cylindrical magnet can be permanently secured into place using adhesive or a thin veneer like covering which the magnetic field is able to penetrate. Although it is worth noting that any layer between the magnet and the corresponding magnet or steel will have a diminishing effect on the pull force achieved.

Small magnetic closures of this type are increasing in popularity with sign makers, promotional display crafters and furniture designers. When inserted into the substrate as described, the magnet provides a virtually invisible and far less conspicuous mode of attachment or fastening than more traditional methods. These Neodymium cylinders have a more intense pull force relative to other types of permanent magnets of the same size. This is due to the increased amount of magnetic material present between the two poles or otherwise thought of as the height dimension.
