Rare Earth Disc Magnet 12mm x 1mm Description:

This Neodymium Rare Earth Disc Magnet is powerful for its small size. It has a diameter of 12mm and a height of 1mm. This product is made with an extremely strong rare earth magnet with a Nickel coating that ensures effective corrosion resistance. This 12mm x 1mm Neodymium Magnetic Disc has a magnetic flux reading of 1036 Gauss and a pull strength of 600 grams.

Uses for our Strong Neodymium Disc Magnets:

This Neodymium Rare Earth Magnetic Disc is both compact and remarkably strong. Perfect for anyone working on the move! Our customers include tradespeople, musicians, hairdressers, groomers, make-up artists and stylists.
Artists find these small magnets essential for holding their materials in place. Simply glue these small Rare Earth discs into place on the bottom of containers or packaging and they will hold fast to metal. If it is tools or metal canisters which need securing, glue or place the magnets on the inside of the toolbox

Tiny but strong

These little magnets are great. I have been using them to clip wrap skirts together for windy conditions. Also keep a stack on my fridge and they are strong enough to use as a handle!

Great speedy service

I use them in mini albums, they are nice flat and have great strength to hold my pages together. I use the non adhesive magnets. And a way lot cheaper than others.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
