Neodymium Ring Magnet - OD12.7mm x ID3.175mm x H3.175mm | N45

Magnetic Product Description:

This neodymium magnetic ring has an outer diameter of 12.7mm, an inner diameter of 3.175mm and the height of 3.175mm. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number R-OD12.7H3.175ID3.175-N45.

Uses for our rare earth ring magnets:

The majority of our magnets come in metric dimensions however this Rare Earth Neodymium ring has standard imperial measurements of ½ inch outer diameter and ⅛ inch inside diameter and height. Imperial measurements are popular for anyone looking for neo magnets to insert into English or American made products. We are frequently contacted by customers who are looking to replace a poor quality magnet that came as a standard component within a product or piece of equipment with a strong neodymium magnet of superior quality. Neodymium magnets come in a range of grades with N35 being the weakest and N52 being the strongest. As such, this N45 magnet is significantly more powerful than an N35 grade magnet which is the standard grade of magnet used in the majority of mass-produced products.

Although only 15 grams in weight, this small rare earth ring has a surprisingly strong pull force of almost 3 kgs. This pull force is best explained as a vertical lift of steel which is 10mm thick, to allow for full saturation of the magnetic field. There are many factors that will have a diminishing impact on the magnet achieving its full holding power, for more information please read our FAQ articles.
