Magnetic Product Description:
This neodymium magnetic ring has an outer diameter of 15mm, an inner diameter of 5mm and the height of 3mm. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number R-OD15H3ID5.
Uses for our rare earth ring magnets:
Rare Earth Ring magnets are made from the strongest type of permanent magnet material, Neodymium. The North and South poles are located on the flat surface area on each side of the height dimension. Ring magnets are a popular shape because they offer alternative methods of attachment and positioning. Wire, cable or twine can be threaded through the central hole to enable the Ring to be secured in place.
They can make useful fasteners when used as opposing pairs, the hole allows them to be easily stitched into fabric or greater purchase for glue. Neo ring magnets can also bond with a steel striker plate or washer. When deciding on the correct magnet for your application it is always important to keep in mind that magnets are brittle in nature and could break or chip if allowed to snap magnetically into place with force. This is particularly the case with ring magnets as their shape makes them slightly more fragile in nature.
