Flexible magnetic tape
The majority of our magnetic tapes are made from Strontium Ferrite, they have superior magnetic properties and high tensile strength. This compound allows for a great deal of mechanical flexibility and processability. Magnetic strip is easily adjusted to size by simply cutting it with a craft knife or scissors.
The most popular type of magnetic tape we stock is Magnafix. This tape has been designed as a two part magnetic tape system. It allows two non-magnetic objects to be adhered together using tape which perfectly aligns to its respective tape partner. Originally developed for use in light boxes used for advertising, this tape has a strong adhesive suitable for acrylics, steel, aluminium and similar smooth surfaces.
Neodymium flexible tape - NeoFlex
The NeoFlex product range comes in a number of different sizes, lengths and strengths. These adhesive-backed magnetic tapes contain powerful Neodymium magnetic material. This Neodymium powder is combined with a rubberised medium giving the tape excellent flexibility. This tape really is the ultimate magnetic product that can bond strongly and instantly. It is considerably more expensive than traditional Ferrite based magnetic tape products however its magnetic power is far superior.
Our diverse range of magnets
The remainder of this 11mm-20mm size range includes a diverse array of different types and shapes of magnets. There are a couple of Ferrite magnets and Alnico magnets included as this is practical size for this style of magnet - with enough magnetic material present to provide a notable hold. The Alnico magnets are painted in the iconic blue and red to indicate the poles at each end of the magnet. These are most frequently used in educational settings and provide a fun and engaging way of learning about magnetism.
