Magnets for Aquariums 🐠

Q.  We are looking for some sealed magnets that can be used in the products we produce for aquariums. All products are manufactured using 3D printing so magnets, when used, are covered, however with most being utilised to hold items through the glass one is always submerged. Can I ask which magnets you would advise are best to ensure no degrading and in turn leaching of elements into the water column occurs over time? Advice also on strength of magnets which will work through 15-20mm glass would be great. Thanks again for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.

A. Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately we are unable to assist with your request. Aquarium magnets are a very specialised area, and we are yet to have success in this field. The issue we face is the very thick glass diminishing the magnet's pull force, and causing any objects being held to slide. Coupled with the issue of toxicity, sealing said magnet, and its specialised requirement.
