FAQ
What do I need before installing double glazing using Magnetic Tape?
Cut Your Perspex: Measure the dimensions of your windows accurately. Use these measurements to cut your Perspex sheet to the appropriate size. Make sure to leave a small gap (around 3mm to 5mm) around the edges to allow for expansion and contraction.
Clean Your Window Frame: Thoroughly clean the inner surface of the window frames where you'll be attaching the magnetic tape. Use isopropyl alcohol or a similar cleaner to remove any dirt, dust, or grease. Allow the surface to dry completely before proceeding.
Does Magnetic Tape come in different colours?
It certainly does. In our range of magnetic tape for double glazing we have white and black tape appropriate for if you have light or dark window frames. We even have an example of blue tape.
Can I use Magnetic Tape to install a flyscreen?
You certainly can. Use the same steps seen in the double glazing video, but instead of installing Perspex, you can choose to install flyscreen material instead. In the event that you install flyscreen material, it may be more appropriate to adhere the magnetic tape to the frame of the window, rather than the glass.
Will Magnetic Tape be strong enough for a large sheet of Perspex?
Yes, but please read the product description for any advice we've provided about the thickness of the Perspex appropriate for each magnetic tape.
