Rubber Coated Neodymium Pot Magnet – D22mm x 10mm with M5 Female Thread | N42 | 3.8kg Pull Force

Product Description

This Rubber Coated Neodymium Pot Magnet features a 22mm diameter, 10mm thickness, and an M5 internally threaded mounting hole with a 6mm thread depth. Manufactured using powerful N42-grade Neodymium (NdFeB) rare earth magnet material, this compact magnetic mounting solution delivers an impressive pull force of up to 3.8kg when attached to a clean, flat mild steel surface of equal thickness.

The durable rubber coating provides additional protection for delicate surfaces while significantly increasing slide resistance compared to standard steel-cased pot magnets. This makes it ideal for applications where preventing scratches, vibration, or movement is important.

The internally threaded female mounting hole allows for quick and secure attachment of bolts, hooks, eyelets, brackets, and custom fixtures, making this magnet a versatile choice for industrial, commercial, workshop, automotive, marine, retail display, and DIY applications.

Key Features

  • 22mm diameter x 10mm thick

  • M5 female threaded mounting hole

  • 6mm thread depth with flat-bottom tapped hole

  • Powerful N42-grade Neodymium (NdFeB) rare earth magnet

  • Durable rubber coating protects surfaces from scratches

  • Increased friction and slide resistance

  • Pull force up to 3.8kg under ideal conditions

  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor mounting applications

  • Compact, low-profile design

Common Applications

  • Sign and display mounting

  • Vehicle and marine accessories

  • Camera, sensor, and equipment mounting

  • Cable management systems

  • Workshop and factory fixtures

  • Retail displays and point-of-sale installations

  • Temporary magnetic attachments

  • DIY and hobby projects

Important Information

The stated pull force of 3.8kg is achieved under ideal testing conditions with direct, flush contact against a clean mild steel surface of sufficient thickness. Actual holding strength may vary depending on surface finish, steel thickness, air gaps, paint coatings, mounting orientation, and environmental conditions.

For maximum performance, ensure the magnetic face is in full contact with a flat ferromagnetic surface.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
