Female Thread Neodymium Pot Magnet with SUS410 Stainless Steel Coating – 42mm x 15mm | M6 | N50 | Notch Face

The 42mm x 15mm Female Thread Neodymium Pot Magnet combines an N50 neodymium magnet, SUS410 stainless steel coating and a 72kg rated pull force in a compact mounting assembly. Featuring a half internal M6 thread and a notched face, this powerful Rare Earth pot magnet is suited to removable mounting, holding and positioning applications on suitable steel surfaces.

The female M6 connection accepts compatible male-threaded fittings, providing a practical attachment point for brackets, fixtures and custom assemblies. Its magnetic base allows the assembly to be repositioned without drilling into the steel mounting surface.

Key Features

  • 42mm diameter x 15mm height: Compact dimensions for installations where space is limited.

  • N50 neodymium magnet: Strong magnetic performance for demanding holding applications.

  • 72kg rated pull force: High direct pull capacity under suitable test conditions.

  • SUS410 stainless steel coating: Stainless steel exterior finish.

  • Half internal M6 thread: Female mounting connection for compatible M6 fittings.

  • Notch face: Notched face design for applications requiring this configuration.

Applications

This M6 female thread pot magnet is suitable for workshop fixtures, equipment positioning, removable display mounts and custom magnetic fastening systems. It provides a versatile mounting option where strong magnetic attachment and a threaded connection are required.

Pull Force and Installation

The 72kg pull force is a direct pull rating, rather than a recommended working load for every installation. Actual holding performance varies with steel thickness, surface condition, coatings, air gaps and the direction of the load. Vertical mounting and sideways forces can substantially reduce holding capacity.

Check M6 fitting engagement before installation, as the thread extends only partway into the magnet assembly. Test the complete assembly under its intended operating conditions before use.

NB: Ranges are indicative for product category, please check individual products for specic values within that range.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
