PU Magnetic Leak Patch – 213mm x 206mm x 13.5mm
The PU Magnetic Leak Patch – 213mm x 206mm x 13.5mm is a permanent magnetic leak sealing device designed for rapid, temporary containment on steel pipelines, tanks, containers and equipment housings. High-performance permanent magnets embedded in a polyurethane (PU) sealing pad provide magnetic adhesion, holding the patch against the steel surface to help control leakage.
User guide can be found here.
Designed for industrial emergency response, this magnetic leak patch can be deployed by one person without welding or drilling. It supports leak containment in oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical processing and marine applications, subject to the fluid compatibility, surface condition and operating limits of the installation.
Key Features
-
213mm x 206mm x 13.5mm dimensions: Flexible PU sealing pad with an embedded permanent magnetic assembly.
-
Focused magnetic adhesion: Concentrates the magnetic field on the working surface to provide attachment and sealing pressure.
-
Rapid deployment: Designed for single-person installation to help reduce leakage and improve emergency response efficiency.
-
No welding or drilling required: Attaches magnetically without hot-work installation.
-
Reusable leak patch: The PU pad resists ageing, water and oil and allows repeated installation, subject to inspection and condition.
-
Included PTFE sealing film: Provides a barrier for compatible chemical media; intended for single use.
-
Protective storage bag: Designed to shield the magnetic field and protect the patch during storage and transport.
Applications
This magnetic leak sealing patch is intended for temporary emergency containment on suitable carbon steel and other magnetically receptive steel structures, including:
-
Industrial pipelines and petrochemical systems.
-
Storage and transport tanks containing compatible liquids or chemicals.
-
Steel containers and equipment housings.
-
Leak points and openings in carbon steel chemical handling equipment.
-
Small breach areas on ships during initial leak containment.
-
Marine oil containment applications where the patch serves as an anchoring point for boom systems, subject to application assessment.

| PTFE sealing film | Included; single use |
| Patch reuse | Subject to inspection, condition and manufacturer instructions |
Performance note: Holding force and pressure figures are supplier-stated specifications. Total magnetic holding force is not a lifting capacity or a guarantee of sealing performance for every installation. Confirm suitability for the actual leak, steel surface, medium and operating pressure before use.
Fluid Compatibility and PTFE Sealing Film
The PU sealing pad is suitable for various types of water, oils, gases and chemical fluids at ambient temperature, including compatible media within a pH range of 5–9. Chemical suitability must be checked for the specific substance and operating conditions.
The included PTFE sealing film offers resistance to many common industrial acids and alkalis used in electroplating, chemical processing and pharmaceutical applications. The supplier recommends using the film when the medium’s pH or corrosiveness is unknown; compatibility must still be confirmed before deployment.
The supplied compatibility information identifies fluorine (F₂), chlorine trifluoride (ClF₃) and oxygen difluoride (OF₂) as exceptions to PTFE resistance. The film does not extend the complete patch’s recommended operating temperature range.
Operating Limits and Safety
Use within the recommended −40°C to +80°C operating range. Exposure above 100°C for more than one hour may reduce magnetic performance. A heat-exposed patch should be assessed before further use.
This product is intended for temporary emergency leak containment. Follow the instruction manual and site emergency procedures, and arrange appropriate inspection and permanent repair.
Although installation requires no welding or drilling, this does not establish certification for use in explosive atmospheres. Suitability for hazardous areas and hazardous media must be verified before use.

Frequently Asked Questions
What surfaces can the magnetic leak patch attach to?
It requires a suitable magnetically receptive steel surface. Check the material, surface condition and fit around the leak before use.
Can the leak patch be reused?
The patch is designed for repeated installation, provided it remains serviceable and is inspected according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The PTFE sealing film is single use.
Does installation require welding or drilling?
No. Embedded permanent magnets hold the sealing pad against the steel surface, allowing deployment without welding or drilling.
Can it seal chemical leaks?
It may be suitable for compatible chemical media. Selection depends on the substance, concentration, temperature, pressure and sealing material. Use of the PTFE film does not remove the need to confirm compatibility.
Is this a permanent pipe or tank repair?
No. It is designed for temporary emergency containment while the leak is assessed and a suitable permanent repair is arranged.
