Uses for our handy Magnafix Magnetic Strip:
Our Magnafix Magnetic Tape with Tesa 4965 adhesive on one side is ideal for acrylic panels or metal sheets. Magnafix with Tesa adhesive is commonly used when making DIY mosquito and fly screens for windows. These tapes offer an excellent solution for adhering graphic elements to either magnetic or non-magnetic surfaces for display systems and light box signage. The specially developed adhesives for the Magnafix range of magnetic tapes provide superior adhesion to acrylics, steel, aluminium and other hard to adhere surfaces.
Flyscreens without a frame will require extra adhesive to bond, or product will fail.
Please note: Acrylic sheeting is a heavy material and care should be taken to ensure thicker sheets are installed in such a way as to allow for the window sill to bear the actual weight of the sheet and the magnetic tape serves simply to hold it in place.
