This compact yet exceptionally powerful Neodymium Block Magnet measures 9mm x 4.5mm x 7mm and is manufactured from premium N52 Grade Neodymium (NdFeB), one of the strongest commercially available permanent magnet materials. Despite its small size, this rare earth magnet delivers outstanding magnetic performance, making it ideal for precision applications where space is limited.
The magnet is magnetised through the 7mm width, with the North pole clearly marked for easy identification during assembly, testing, and magnetic orientation applications. Manufactured to a tolerance of ±0.05mm, this precision-engineered magnet is suitable for demanding industrial, electronic, scientific, and hobbyist projects.
Key Features

Premium N52 Grade Neodymium
Magnetised through the 7mm width
North pole marked for easy orientation
Precision manufacturing tolerance of ±0.05mm
Compact block design with exceptional magnetic strength
Nickel-plated for corrosion resistance and durability
Approximate pull force is 2.86 kilograms.
Common Applications
These small N52 neodymium block magnets are widely used in applications where precise magnetic positioning and maximum magnetic strength are required in a compact form factor.
Popular uses include:
Electronic sensors and switches
Robotics and automation systems
Precision engineering projects
Product prototyping and development
Scientific experiments and laboratory equipment
Magnetic closures and latches
Miniature holding and locating systems
Educational demonstrations
Model making and hobby projects
Custom magnetic assemblies
The clearly marked North face is particularly useful for projects requiring consistent magnetic orientation or multiple magnets arranged in specific pole configurations.
Why Choose N52 Neodymium Magnets?
N52 represents one of the highest-strength grades available in neodymium magnets, providing exceptional magnetic performance relative to size. This allows engineers, designers, and manufacturers to create smaller, lighter, and more efficient products while maintaining strong magnetic holding power.
For applications where every millimetre matters, N52 neodymium magnets offer a superior strength-to-size ratio compared to lower-grade magnets and alternative magnetic materials.

Important Handling Information
Neodymium magnets are extremely powerful and should be handled carefully. Avoid allowing magnets to snap together, as chipping or cracking may occur. Keep magnets away from sensitive electronic devices, magnetic storage media, and medical implants such as pacemakers.
Small magnets pose a serious swallowing hazard and should be kept out of reach of children at all times.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.
Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.
Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
