This Rare Earth Disc is small in size with a diameter of 10mm and height of 3mm. Although small, this magnet is extremely strong for its size. It has a magnetic pull force of 1.96kg and a magnetic flux reading of 3396. Rare Earth magnets are extremely strong permanent magnets, for other shapes and sizes see out Rare Earth Neodymium page.
Our strong Magnetic Discs can be used in countless ways. A few of these applications include metal separation, water conditioning, building generators, metal detectors, magnetic therapy and brochure closures.
This slimline Neodymium disc is easily concealed making it ideal for textile projects and arts and crafts. There are many ingenious ways our customers use this product to hold and control fabrics. Ideal in the fashion industry as an alternative to buttons and hooks for heavy-weight fabrics such as winter coats.
They can also be sewn into the hem of curtains, shade cloths or windbreakers. AMF magnets are strong and easily hold what you need. Especially for the awkward project I was working on. Bought others cheaper online…and there was a reason they were cheaper….barely held the weight of another magnet. Make sure you know your “pull strength”.
Great little magnets for what I wanted. Super strong and have been holding these 4mm acrylic in place. They are great quality and don't shatter like the ones in the local Bunnings that cost 4x as much!! They have also kept their chrome colour alot better.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.
Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.
Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More about pull force on vertical surfaces
Magnet Safety Warning
Magnets can pose a serious swallowing hazard to children. If multiple magnets are swallowed or inhaled, they may attract to each other inside the body, causing severe internal injuries, infection or death.
In accordance with Australian Government and ACCC safety guidelines, children's toys containing magnets must display appropriate warning labels.
Please note: we do not manufacture or sell magnetic toys.
AMF Magnetics accepts no liability for injury, damage or loss caused by the misuse, improper handling or unintended use of magnetic products. Read More about our magnet safety warning
