This product is made from extremely strong Neodymium Magnets.Neodymium Rare Earth magnets are the most powerful magnets today, making this product powerful relative to its size. It has a magnetic flux reading of 4919 Gauss and a pull force of 1.87 kg.


Uses for this Neodymium Rare Earth Magnetic Disc:

This small magnet is popular in many specialised industries as they provide a strong magnetic force for their tiny size. This magnet is often used to support industrial machinery or to secure important workshop tools.
Neodymium disc magnets are often used in a wide variety of lubricating equipment. This tiny disc magnet can be used to assist the hold and release function in high performance grease guns and pumps. Rare Earth Disc Magnets also help to secure wall mounted oil dispensing units.
Timber craftspeople find this 8mm x 5mm disc magnet easy to hide in their works of timber and metal. Embedding metal sections in timber forms with these magnets allows the metal sections to be easily removed for cleaning or polishing. Gluing or screwing the metal sections into the timber forms is much more intrusive and restrictive than these little magnetic helpers!

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.

8 X 5 MM EXPERIMENT FOR HOLDING OVERHEAD CUPBOARDS CLOSED. More than I needed strength wise , nice and small totally did the job.

Magnets arrived in only a few days. The finish on the magnets is clean and bright, and the dimensions are spot on. I'm using them on various tools and fittings around the house.

Snap fit

These were the perfect size to install into 3D printed parts. Made some auto gauge sun covers for the cars dashboard. They are easily removable and held in place without holes or screws
