Neodymium Disc Magnet – 6.35mm x 3.175mm | N35
Compact in size yet impressively strong, this high-performance neodymium disc magnet is engineered for precision applications where space is limited but holding power is essential. Measuring 6.35mm in diameter and 3.175mm in height, this magnet is manufactured from N35-grade neodymium, delivering a powerful magnetic flux reading of 4278 Gauss and a reliable pull force of approximately 870 grams.
Designed for versatility, this rare earth magnet is ideal for prototyping, product design, crafts, closures, and small assemblies. Its compact form factor makes it easy to integrate into tight spaces without compromising on performance, while its consistent magnetic strength ensures dependable results across a wide range of applications.
Whether you're an engineer, designer, manufacturer, or hobbyist, this magnet offers a dependable solution for projects requiring precision and strength. Identified by AMF Magnetics part number 20072A, it’s a trusted choice for those who value quality, consistency, and performance.
Key Features:
Dimensions: 6.35mm (Diameter) x 3.175mm (Height)
Grade: N35 Neodymium (Rare Earth)
Magnetisation: Axially magnetised (through height)
Magnetic Flux: 4278 Gauss
Pull Force: 870 grams
Part Number: 20072A
Compact & High Strength: Ideal for precision applications
Common Uses:
Prototyping and engineering projects
Crafting and DIY applications
Magnetic closures and fasteners
Small assemblies and product design
Important Notes:
Pull force is measured under ideal conditions (direct contact with a flat, mild steel surface). Actual holding strength may vary depending on surface type, thickness, and direction of force.
Neodymium magnets are brittle and should be handled with care to avoid chipping or cracking.
Small in size, big on performance, this N35 neodymium disc magnet delivers reliable magnetic strength exactly where you need it.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.
Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.
Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
