This scale acts as an insulator, reducing heat transfer efficiency. For example, a ½-inch layer of scale can reduce heat transfer by up to 70%, leading to increased energy consumption and reduced equipment lifespan.
By applying a strong magnetic field externally to the pipe, POWERMAG helps alter the crystallisation behaviour of these minerals, reducing scale adhesion and making deposits easier to flush away.
