Maximise performance in a compact form with this ultra-small N52 grade neodymium block magnet, engineered for precision applications where space is limited but strength is essential. Measuring just 6mm (L) x 2mm (W) x 1mm (H), this high-performance rare earth magnet delivers exceptional magnetic power relative to its size.
Manufactured from premium NdFeB (Neodymium Iron Boron), this magnet features a durable Nickel-Copper-Nickel (NiCuNi) coating, providing a smooth, corrosion-resistant finish with a clean metallic appearance. Magnetised axially (through the 1mm height), it produces a focused magnetic field across the two flat faces—ideal for applications requiring precise alignment and reliable holding.
Key Features:
Dimensions: 6mm (L) x 2mm (W) x 1mm (H)
Grade: N52
Magnetisation Direction: Axial (through height)
Coating: NiCuNi (Nickel-Copper-Nickel)
Surface Gauss: 3,841 Gauss
Pull Force: 199 grams
Material: Neodymium (NdFeB) Rare Earth
Shape: Rectangular block
Applications:
Perfect for a wide range of small-scale and technical uses, including:
Electronics and sensor assemblies.
DIY projects and prototyping.
Craft, hobby, and model-making applications.
Magnetic closures and micro fasteners.
PCB mounting and precision positioning.
Despite its miniature size, this magnet offers impressive holding strength when used against a clean, flat mild steel surface. Its slim profile makes it particularly useful in tight spaces where larger magnets are not suitable.
Important Notes:
Neodymium magnets are brittle and can chip or crack if allowed to snap together or collide with metal surfaces. Handle with care. Keep away from sensitive electronics and medical devices such as pacemakers.
Pull force is based on ideal conditions (direct contact with a clean, flat mild steel surface of sufficient thickness). Real-world performance may vary depending on application, surface conditions, and alignment.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.
Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.
Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
