Neodymium Countersunk Pot Magnet - 20mm x 7mm

Magnetic Product Description:

This rare earth pot magnet has a diameter of 20mm, a countersunk hole diameter of 4.5mm and a thickness of 7mm. It has a pull force of 6kg and a weight of 13 grams. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number AMFYPA20.

Uses for our Rare Earth Countersunk Pot Magnets:

Commercial and retail interior shop fitting businesses delivering a one stop shop service define the project in four stages, each stage utilising magnets to help deliver the desired outcome, including these neodymium pot countersunk 20mmx7mm.

The first stage, design and planning engages magnets, often with magnetised work walls, to arrange and rearrange ideas and images at the fledgling stage that everyone can see and contribute. The gross motor movement at this stage of ideas and thoughts is made quickly and simply with the aid of magnets. Good ideas can be fleeting or elusive, magnets are quick enough to follow and capture them.

The second stage, the manufacture of the chosen materials and their exact specifications uses magnets as hold and release agents for tools and machines as the materials and equipment takes shape.

The project management and installation stage engages magnets most often in the hold, lock, release and re-engage applications in the many moving parts of shop and retail fit-outs. The countersunk feature of these pot magnets gives the tradespeople more fastening and attachment options than may otherwise be the case.

Our 20mm rare earth pot magnet is ideal for keeping gates open or closed and attaching different objects to any surface. This rare earth pot magnet is a high strength magnet in a mild-steel nickel coated pot.

Does exactly what it is meant to do. After all, it’s only a magnet so doesn’t exactly need to much

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
