This Countersunk Neodymium Pot magnet is employed by builders and cabinetmakers in a host of different ways during the construction of high-end commercial buildings and homes. Incorporated into the design to create secret fixings, drawer closures, hanging systems and seamless cabinetry, these Rare Earth pot magnets are indispensable for anyone working in the building industry. These Neodymium Pot Magnets have a countersunk hole making them ideal for screwing onto a surface for a permanent holding point. Alternatively, attach it to the end of your tool or jig for a customised magnetic solution. This 36mm Pot Magnets has a strong holding capacity and is suitable for attaching to vertical walls and for hanging items from ceilings.

Great magnets

I've attached two of the 36mm x 9mm magnets to my driveway picket gates. The magnets are screwed into 50 x 50mm treated pine laths attached to a couple of short star stakes. On the gates themselves I have attached two Aldi steel mending straps.

When I open the gates fully, the mending straps touch the magnets, holding the gates in place.

These magnets are very powerful. and will hold the gates open even in 100kph winds.

I recommend these to anyone having similar issues requiring strong magnets.

Great magnets

I have these on my driveway (picket) gates and they are strong enough to hold the gate open, even in 100kph winds. Very easy to install, I just needed a couple of pre-drilled steel plates which I bought from Aldi.

Fixing Awning

To stop heavy awning/blind from flapping noisily in slightest breeze fixed magnets to blind, screwed steel washers to frame. Blind now rigidly fixed in place desired. The magnets are bit too strong; a smaller size would have been adequate.

bought for manget fishing

we bought 6 magnets and my husband bolted 3 on each side of an oval shaped piece of stainless steel with stainless steel bolts and lock nuts. He drilled a hole at the end of the s.s. plate and attached a stainless steel D bolt with our rope/thimble attached, cut a slit in the end of the D bolt bar and spread it with a bolster, then cut the end of the D bolt so that it can't undo and doesn't get caught when we use it for magnet fishing in the rivers and at jetties. You never know what goodies can be hauled in.:)

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.

Great magnets
