This Countersunk Pot Magnet is made from a powerful Rare Earth magnet encased in a mild steel, nickel coated holding pot. The metal casing provides for superior durability, allowing the brittle magnet within to withstand impact and corrosion to a greater extent. This product has a diameter of 25mm, a countersunk hole diameter of 5.5mm and a thickness of 8mm. This super-strong holding magnet has a pull force of 14kg and a weight of 23 grams.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.

Excellent service and product, and reasonable price

I reported 23/04/20 on the couple of magnets that I bought to test an idea. Since then I have bought another 8 and have used them because I didn't want to attach brackets to the wall to hang curtains from. Above the windows in our living room there is a large steel I-beam now carrying six brackets held bu magnets. Excellent easily dis-mountable; an elegant solution.

I bought a couple of these magnets to test their strength for holding a bracket to a steel lintel in order to put up curtains , They are perfect for the job.
