Neodymium Pot Magnet with Threaded Eyelet - 48mm x 8mm

Magnetic Product Description:

This Rare Earth Threaded Eyelet Pot Magnet has a pull force of 81 kilograms and a weight of 200 grams. It has a diameter of 48mm, a total height of 65mm and a magnet housing thickness of 25mm. This Neodymium Pot Magnet has an M8 thread with eyelet. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number AMFYPF48.

Uses for our Rare Earth Threaded Eyelet Pot Magnets:

A Neodymium Threaded Eyelet magnet is a great addition to the home, a warehouse, or a work shed. The strong rare earth magnet in the base, coupled with the convenient eyelet, allows for a strong reliable hold with the versatility of attachment. The Neo magnet is encased in mild steel except for the base which is left exposed. This arrangement means that the steel manipulates the magnetic field around to the base, which amplifies the pull force considerably. The magnet is only 48mm in diameter but it has an impressive pull force of 81 kilograms! Some added benefits of the steel casing is that it prevents cracking and chipping of the magnet, which is common with Neodymium magnets due to their inherent brittle nature, and the addition of the female thread. This thread includes a removable eyelet, it can be screwed in and out of the casing at any time, and is a great mechanism many customers use to hang miscellaneous items. They can also be used for various suspension and holding applications.

Perfect for dragging around the garage floor

I tied paracord to the screw in eyelet, which I loctited in place and it was perfect for dragging in the confined spaces between wooden shelving recovering dropped spring and BBs

NB: Ranges are indicative for product category, please check individual products for specic values within that range.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
