Countersunk Neodymium Pot Magnets - 32mm x 8mm | NORTH SOUTH PAIR

Product Description:

These Neodymium (Rare Earth) Countersunk Pot Magnets come as a North and South pair, with an internal void so they are able to be mounted on any non-magnetic device. Each magnet has an individual pull force of of 25kg, which incredibly strong considering their small size of a 32mm diameter and a height of 8mm. They are axially magnetised and designed to stick together. Each magnet is encased in a mild steel sheeting to protect from corrosion and chipping as well as increasing the magnetic strength of the exposed side.

Uses for our rare earth countersunk pot magnets:

Paired Holding Magnets have their poles arranged in a complementary way so the two magnets attract when applied to opposing surfaces. This allows the benefits associated with a magnetic bond to extend to non-ferrous materials of any type. These Pot-type magnets eliminate the need for clumsy, unsightly and invasive old-fashioned fastening systems that damage surfaces and require things like staples, screws or nails to affect their hold. They also allow the benefits associated with magnetic hold to be extended to industries and manufacturing processes that are not dominated by ferrous materials or metallic surfaces and can create a magnetic bond between timber, plastic, ceramic and acrylic materials. The magnets are easy to attach with the once-only application of a screw to secure them in place, after which the. magnetic bond is permanent, accurate and repeatable and these attributes are often extremely important prerequisites for many commercial applications and innovative product designs.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.

Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.

Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
