Neodymium Pot Magnet with Female Thread – 20mm x 13.6mm (H) | Slim Profile
Compact, durable, and impressively strong for its size, this Neodymium Female Threaded Pot Magnet is engineered for reliable holding performance across a wide range of applications. With a 20mm diameter and a total height of 13.6mm, it’s ideal where space is limited but strength is essential.
Encased in a protective steel shell, the internal rare earth magnet is shielded from damage while its magnetic force is concentrated at the base, delivering an enhanced pull force of up to 8kg under optimal conditions. The addition of a 4mm female thread with an 8mm external boss provides a secure and versatile mounting point, allowing easy integration into assemblies using bolts or threaded components.
Identified by AMF Magnetics part number AMFYPD20SLIM, this magnet is a lightweight yet powerful solution for both industrial and commercial use.
Key Features:
Diameter: 20mm
Total Height: 13.6mm
Magnet Housing Thickness: 6mm
Thread: 4mm Female (with 8mm external boss)
Pull Force: Up to 8kg
Weight: 16g
Construction: Neodymium magnet encased in steel (single-sided magnetic field)
Why Choose a Pot Magnet?
Pot magnets are specially designed to maximise holding strength by redirecting the magnetic field to one face. The steel casing not only amplifies performance but also protects the brittle neodymium magnet from chipping, cracking, and environmental wear.
Applications:
This female threaded pot magnet offers outstanding versatility across a wide range of uses:
Mounting signage, displays, and retail fixtures
Securing equipment, panels, or protective covers
Attaching to timber, plastic, or non-ferrous materials using bolts
Industrial use in warehouses, workshops, and mining environments
Temporary or removable mounting solutions for communications or safety equipment
Simply attach the magnet to your chosen material using a compatible bolt, transforming non-magnetic surfaces into secure, magnet-ready mounting points.
Note:
Pull force is measured under ideal conditions (direct contact with a thick, clean mild steel surface). Real-world performance may vary depending on surface conditions, orientation, and air gaps.
Built for performance, flexibility, and durability, this slim-profile female threaded pot magnet is a dependable choice for professionals who need strong, removable magnetic fixing solutions.

The most common coating for Neodymium magnets is Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni + Cu + Ni). This coating offers the magnet relatively good protection from corrosion and passive applications. If the magnet will be exposed to moisture or liquid then consider the use of an organic coating such as Epoxy. A hard wearing coating, Epoxy is suited to applications where the magnet will come under some friction or knocking.
Magnets are readily available in Blocks, Discs, Cylinders & Rings. AMF Magnetics specializes in the supply of short-run prototype magnets including Arc Segments, various magnetic orientations etc. If you need a magnet size that we don't carry in stock, submit a Design-a-Magnet enquiry for a quote on your custom magnet design.
Neodymium magnets are offered in several different grades. The first section N30-54 has an operating temperature of up to 80 degrees. Most of our stock only goes up to N38. The second section, denoted with the "M" prefix after the grade has an operating temperature 100 degrees. After this the grades are "H", "SH", "UH" & "EH". In order for the magnet to withstand a higher operating temperature, during production more of the raw material PrNd is incorporated as these elements have a naturally occurring resistance to high temperatures.
